Good to know: no-parking zone, furniture lift and insurance
In Zurich an approved no-parking zone outside the old and new homes is often decisive for a smooth day – we apply for it in good time with the city and arrange the signage. For narrow stairwells or upper floors we use a furniture lift, which saves time and prevents damage to walls and furniture. Transport is covered under our public-liability and goods-in-transit insurance; for storage we also recommend checking your household or stored-goods insurance. A 3-room move within Zurich costs from CHF 900 to CHF 1'900 depending on the option. The exact price depends on floor, access and extras. After a free survey you receive a binding fixed-price quote within 24 hours.
How far in advance should I book a private relocation?
Ideally 4–6 weeks in advance; at month-ends and official moving dates (end of March, June, September) 8 weeks is better. Short-notice moves are also possible within a few days depending on availability – just ask.
What happens if something is damaged in transit?
All goods are covered by our goods-in-transit insurance for the entire move. Report damage directly to your contact; we handle the process simply and promptly.
Can I book the packing service in part or in full?
Yes, both are possible. Many clients have us pack only the kitchen, glass and porcelain and handle the rest themselves – you pay only for what you actually book.
Do you also dispose of old furniture?
Yes, we dispose of old furniture professionally and in an environmentally sound way (furniture disposal). Disposal can be combined directly with the move – one journey, one crew, one price.
Is there a survey before the move?
Yes, in Zurich and the surrounding area it is free on site or conveniently by video call. The survey takes about 20 minutes and is the basis for your binding fixed-price quote.
Do I need a no-parking zone in Zurich?
In most neighbourhoods yes – especially in Kreis 1, 4, 5 and 6 where parking is scarce. We apply for the approved no-parking zone in good time with the City of Zurich and handle the signage.
Do you also offer end-of-tenancy cleaning with a handover guarantee?
Yes, immediately after the move we clean your old apartment to Swiss standard – with a handover protocol and handover guarantee. If the property management raises a cleaning snag, we return and fix it at no charge.
Do you also move from Zurich to other cantons or abroad?
