Careers at Koray Umzug

Build your career with a Zurich-based moving company trusted for private relocations, office moves and specialist logistics throughout Switzerland. We invest in training, respectful teamwork and schedules you can plan around.

Why join us

Koray Umzug combines local roots with nationwide coverage. Our crews handle everything from compact city flats to multi-day corporate relocations, always with the same focus: protect people, property and timelines. If you enjoy physical work with variety, clear responsibilities and direct feedback from satisfied customers, you will fit our culture.

We emphasise safety briefings, proper lifting technique and the right tools for each job—whether that means piano equipment, climate-conscious packing materials or weekend slots for business clients. Fair compensation, transparent overtime rules and opportunities to grow into lead or specialist roles are part of how we retain talent in a demanding industry.

Culture and how we work

Moving days start early and can be intense, which is why mutual respect and predictable processes matter. Shift briefings cover route, access constraints and customer preferences before anyone lifts the first box. We celebrate reliability—showing up on time, communicating delays honestly and leaving sites tidy—not shortcuts that risk damage or disputes.

Diversity strengthens our teams: many colleagues joined without prior industry experience and learned on the job beside mentors. German and English are commonly used on site; additional languages are always welcome when coordinating with international households or corporate mobility programmes.

How to apply

Send us a short CV and your earliest availability via our contact form. Mention the role you are interested in, your licence category if applying as a driver and any relevant certifications (e.g. forklift, first aid). We typically reply within a few working days and invite promising candidates for an informal interview and, where appropriate, a paid trial day so both sides can assess fit.

For questions about schedules, part-time options or seasonal peaks, write to us before applying—we are happy to explain how rotations and standby pools work during busy summer months and end-of-quarter office moves.
